A pattern has emerged on the professional Conservative Inc. class of politicians and their media/online sycophants of blaming anything else to avoid conversations on national monetary policy, economic factors, or mass immigration for affordability issues. Instead, the blame falls on trite things like avocado toast, Starbucks and recently, $20 burritos. Any discussion of the plight younger generations turns into an opportunity to mock them.
I joined The Toxic American on Pirate Radio to discuss the recent uproar over $20 “BurritoGate” that started simply by a young TPUSA audience member remarking that a burrito shouldn’t cost $20.

The $20 burrito is the MacGuffin in the story of higher prices caused by inflation, wage stagnation, and mass immigration— legal and illegal. Of course state gov't policies don't help either, but the discussion is more about the response of Conservative Pols and media figures whenever someone under 30 dares to complain about it.
