Thank you for letting me know. The (defunct) link expanded on the unease that the British public had upon finding out that the RAF was performing mass saturation bombing of German villages for the express purpose of a civilian terror campaign, thus the reasons behind the rushed publication of JM Spaight's "Bombing Vindicated" book to assuage those concerns.
As an aside, my father's flight instructor when he got his private license was a former WWII bomber pilot named Bill. He never talked about his military service and one day my Dad asked why. BIll proceeded to explain how he didn't have anything he felt proud to speak of. Turns out that Bill's missions involved targeting cities and towns, but none included viable military targets such as bases or munition factories. Strictly a terror campaign on the civilian population. War is hell.
