That’s great article, Arthur.. a blast from the past when it all began in force. It makes me think that Iraq war was an orchestrated psyop to destroy civil liberties ..

Thank you. The narratives and distortions during that time, not only by media, but from the gov't were the beginning realization on how crafted some realities can be. I didn't even mention the Jessica Lynch or Pat Tillman stories that eventually fell apart under scrutiny.

At the time I lived in Edmonton Alberta and I found it rediculous that the city shut down, just in case Al quaida had even heard of it

Any time Chricton is mentioned, I read. Dude was wildly talented in many fields

On the subject of pivoting we also shifted from "balance the budget" to "spend the surplus" quickly in 2001 as well. The abrupt turn away from what we were previously promised was alarming to me. Even on NPR they would gleefully discuss spending more money like it was a big joke.

Excellent essay Arthur. 9/11 and the pivot to Iraq weighed heavily on me, and altered my views on the media and government.

Thank you. I neglected to mention other false narratives that helped crack the facade of my belief in Legacy media's credibility such as the Jessica Lynch story and how they tried to cover up the death of American patriot Pat Tillman.

Tightening the ratchet in some areas, letting go in others. The unraveling has not been in a straight line, leaving all who are paying attention to sense themselves caught up in forever rounds of button-button-who's-got-the-button.

They didn't pick you for being suspicious. You looked like you wouldn't complain.

And that is the metric $15/hr agents will not ignore.
